Yes, both the browser extension and the plugin are free. They include a basic volume limit for AI-powered functionality. According to our research, this free allowance meets the writing needs of most professionals in tech and is replenished weekly.

Grazie supports various languages, but the features aren’t the same for all of them:

• Instant proofreading: available for English, German, Russian, and Ukrainian.
• Translation: supports English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.
• AI-powered features such as Summarize, Translate, Improve, Change tone, and Paraphrase, are available for a range of languages but currently work best for English.

Grazie’s AI features are powered by JetBrains’ proprietary models and by third-party providers such as OpenAI and Google. We continuously test new models and are considering adding more LLM providers in the future, provided they meet our security standards. The full list of LLM providers we work with can be found here. We also develop our own language models and plan to combine third-party LLMs, including open-source models, with our own.

Your text is not used to train language models, and we don’t retain any of your data in our servers’ memory or logs, ensuring your information stays private and secure.

Grazie combines a rule-based approach and machine learning models that are specifically trained on high-tech industry content, ensuring a deep understanding of context and offering accurate suggestions when working on tech and scientific texts.

Grazie, like all other JetBrains products, adheres to strict measures to protect the privacy and security of user data:

• We don’t use any text you type to train language models, whether our own or those of third parties.
• None of your text is retained in the memory or logs of our servers.
• Content generation features are currently powered by third-party LLM providers, but in the future, we plan to support local and on-premises models.
