HR Project Manager

At JetBrains, code is our passion. Ever since we started, back in 2000, we have strived to make the strongest, most effective developer tools on earth. By automating routine checks and corrections, our tools speed up production, freeing developers to grow, discover, and create.

We are seeking a skilled and results-oriented HR Project Manager to lead, manage, and oversee internal company projects. In this role, you will work closely with the Internal Development team and different stakeholders across the People (HR) team to ensure the successful delivery of HR initiatives. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and alignment with company goals will be key to success.

Key responsibilities:

  • Project management: Lead and manage HR-related projects from initiation through completion. These projects may include, but are not limited to, the implementation and administration of HR tools, the integration of these tools with other internal systems, setting up new HR processes, and the automation of existing workflows.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the Internal Development team, HR leadership, IT, legal, finance, office administration, other functional teams, and department/team leads to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Resource and risk management: Manage project resources and timelines effectively. Identify potential risks, issues, or resource gaps early on and take corrective actions to avoid delays. Work with relevant stakeholders to manage and mitigate potential risks.
  • Process improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the People (HR) team and contribute to the design and implementation of innovative, scalable solutions to enhance the team’s efficiency.
  • Communication: Regularly update the People (HR) team and other stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and milestones. Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related queries. Ensure projects are well-documented and their stages, upcoming changes, and expected results are clearly communicated across the company.
  • Change management: Support change management efforts related to HR initiatives, helping HR colleagues, employees, and team leads adjust to new processes, tools, or organizational changes.
  • Data analysis and reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret HR-related data to support decision-making. Track project success, and provide insights for future HR initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills, as well as critical-thinking abilities.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in HR or internal development projects, with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
  • A proven track record of leading or actively participating in the implementation and integration of HR software (HRIS, ATS, LMS, etc.), with a solid understanding of the technical side of this process.
  • Knowledge of HR processes and best practices, such as talent acquisition pipeline, daily HR operations, performance management processes, and compensation and benefits benchmarks.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A good understanding of change management and risk management processes.
  • A well-structured approach, with the ability to develop and follow comprehensive project plans and documentation.
  • A software development or data analytics background would be a plus.
  • Experience working with company HRIS systems (ideally HiBob) as an HR manager or administrator would be a plus.
