System Administrator

We are looking for a skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our software, hardware, and networks. The candidate should have a solid technical background and excellent troubleshooting skills.

In this role, you will:

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Ensure the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability.
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on all tasks.
  • Provide second-level and third-level support.
  • Communicate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

  • Have proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  • Have experience with databases or networks (LAN, WAN) or data backup and recovery.
  • Are familiar with various operating systems and platforms.
  • Are resourceful with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Hold a BSc or BA in information technology, computer science, or a related field.

We’d be especially thrilled if you:

  • Have experience with virtualization or containerization, for example, with VMware, Docker, and K8s.
  • Are familiar with various monitoring systems.
  • Have a good understanding of automation software, such as Ansible.
  • Are familiar with cloud platforms like AWS and Google Cloud.
  • Have experience with scripting languages, including PowerShell, Python, and Bash.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support Axis CCTV control systems, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Administer and ensure smooth operation of version control systems (VCS) such as CVS, SVN, Git, and Mercurial, as well as manage repositories, update software, and access configuration.
  • Administer JFrog Artifactory, including setting up and managing artifact repositories, ensuring availability, and updating software.
  • Work with Metal as a Service (MAAS), including installing and managing physical servers through MAAS, automating deployment, and managing hardware.
  • Configure and manage network services on Linux, including setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting DNS and DHCP servers.
  • Configure and manage network time protocols (NTP), including maintaining accurate time on servers and configuring and monitoring NTP servers.
