Navigate from symbols
From any code symbol, dotPeek can bring you to its declaration, implementations, usages, and more. You can start navigation from symbol usage or declaration in the code viewer, from the File Structure window, as well as from some other dotPeek tool windows. The scope of navigation is all assemblies currently loaded in the Assembly Explorer window and all assemblies referenced from those assemblies. See Navigate compiled code to learn how the navigation is performed within compiled assemblies.
If there are multiple navigation locations for your destination, you can open them in the Find Results window and use its features for further navigation (for more information, see analyzing search results).
The commands that provide navigation from the current code symbol are described in the following topics:
- Go to Declaration
- Go to Type of Symbol
- Go to Base Symbols
- Go to Implementation
- Go to Derived Symbols
- Navigate inheritance hierarchy with gutter marks
- Navigate To
- Find Usages
