Code Inspection: Unreachable 'case' branch of a 'switch' statement

Reports an unreachable case branch of a switch statement.

Example:

/**
 * @param {('foo' | 'bar')} p
 */
function foo(p) {
    switch (p) {
        case 'foo': break;
        case 'bar': break;
        case 'baz': break; // unreachable
    }
}

Suppress an inspection in the editor

Position the caret at the highlighted line and press Alt+Enter or click .
Click the arrow next to the inspection you want to suppress and select the necessary suppress action.
