Code Inspection: Declaration of overridden method should be compatible with parent class

Configure inspections: Settings | Editor | Inspections

Show intention actions: AltEnter

Reports the overridden methods declarations that are not compatible with the parent class. The inspection is enabled only for the PHP language level lower than 8.0.

Suppress an inspection in the editor

  1. Place the caret at the highlighted line and press AltEnter or click the Intention action icon.

  2. Click the arrow next to the inspection you want to suppress and select the necessary suppress action.
