Code Inspection: Logical expression has same operands
Reports the expressions that use the same operands, but should rather use different operands (for example, $var == $var
). These include comparison, logical, null-coalescing, subtraction, and division expressions.
In the following example, the variable $a
is used on both sides of the comparison operator ==
and is thus compared to itself. The result of such expression is always true
.
if ($a == $a) {
performAction();
}
