Generate type members

With ReSharper, you can quickly generate different type members. To view the list of available code generation options for the current type, press AltInsert or choose ReSharper | Edit | Generate Code… in the main menu.

Depending on your settings, stubs for new members can be generated in different ways. For example, they can throw new NotImplementedException(), return default value, or include code that will not compile. You can configure these and other preferences on the Code Editing | Members Generation page of ReSharper options Alt+R, O.

To bind any code generation command to its own shortcut, go to Tools | Options | Environment | Keyboard and assign a shortcut for the ReSharper_Generate command.

Most of ReSharper's member generation features are available in C# and Visual Basic, some are available in several languages, others are language-specific. The table below lists all member generation features and languages/technologies where they are supported.
