Presentation

In this page of JetBrains Rider settings, you can configure visual preferences for build process.

Status Bar: show build progress in status bar

If this checkbox is selected, build progress is displayed in the status bar at the bottom of IDE window.

Task Bar: show build progress in Windows task bar

If this checkbox is selected, build progress is displayed in the JetBrains Rider icon on the Windows task bar.

Tool Window: when build starts, open the build progress view in a tool window

When this checkbox is selected, JetBrains Rider brings up the Build tool window Alt+0 to visualize build progress and status.

Tool Window: switch to tree view after the build if build events were reported

When this checkbox is selected and if build completes with errors or warnings, the Build window automatically switches to the tree view where all errors and warnings are displayed as clickable items and grouped by projects.

Otherwise the window keeps displaying the log view of the build progress. You can always switch between views using the Toggle tree view mode Toggle tree view mode button.

Showing build results after build completed
