Hub enables advanced user management for YouTrack Server and TeamCity, as well as other JetBrains and third-party services
Hub ensures that when a user logs in once, they stay authenticated in all connected JetBrains services and applications. It supports a variety of authentication methods for a seamless experience, including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, LDAP, Google, and GitHub, and it offers a built-in authentication module. Hub can also be used as an identity provider to log in to third-party services that support OAuth 2.0 and SAML 2.0 authentication.
Hub manages a single database of users, groups, roles, permissions, and projects and shares it among all connected applications, effectively serving as an authentication and authorization server.
Hub provides a Projects page where you can create, add, and find projects. This is useful when your company works with several YouTrack servers and you need an overview of them in one place. When a new project is created in YouTrack, it is automatically added as a resource to a new project with the same name in Hub.
Hub provides dashboards for tracking issues, reports, and build statuses in your projects. Dashboards in Hub pull data from YouTrack and TeamCity and can be customized with a range of widgets.
JetBrains Hub is a web-based application that handles authentication and authorization in addition to helping you manage users, group memberships, permissions, and projects across multiple installations of YouTrack Server and TeamCity. It also provides a dashboard with a range of widgets for monitoring the progress of your development activities.
Hub is completely free for an unlimited number of users, with all future upgrades included at no cost.
Hub is currently available as a server-based, on-premises tool, and it only integrates with server installations of YouTrack and TeamCity. The Hub authentication module is built into YouTrack Cloud and enabled by default as the authentication scheme for managing credentials. YouTrack Cloud cannot be integrated with an external Hub service.
TeamCity can be connected to Hub via a special Hub plugin. It supports the synchronization of user details and provides widgets that pull data from TeamCity, such as investigations, project statuses, and build artifacts, to Hub dashboards.
Hub currently addresses four main scenarios:
Yes, Hub can be connected to both tools, with no plugin required. Your users can log in to Space with their Hub credentials, and you can sync user groups in Datalore. Hub can be used as an identity provider, as both Space and Datalore support generic OAuth 2.0 authentication.
