Make sure only approved IDE builds make it to your developers’ machines. IDE Provisioner lets your team centrally define a list of validated IDEs and their specific versions and set them as the only available ones for your developers.
IDE Provisioner comes with a local built-in repository of IntelliJ Platform plugins that allows you to choose specific plugins to be approved within your organization. It also lets you upload and distribute your own plugins inside your company, as well as any publicly available plugin from the internet.
With IDE Provisioner, you can define and propagate global IDE settings to all instances of the IDEs running in your organization. Set custom VM options, limit maximum heap size, define default code styles, and manage other properties on a per-profile, per-team, or company-wide basis.
Ensure that developers update to newer versions of an IDE by blocking older ones from running. IDE Provisioner helps you reduce the pain of maintaining an IDE in an organization because you can be sure that everyone updates their tools on time.
IDE Provisioner is deployed on a server within your network. This means it can work in completely isolated offline environments in which both the server and the developers’ machines have no internet access. Your developers can still receive the latest IDE builds or plugins even without internet connectivity.
New developers joining your teams will get up to speed in no time thanks to one-click IDE installations and upgrades, along with seamless plugins and settings delivered right to their machines – all through the native experience of the Toolbox App.

If you’re ready to start using a new IDE or plugin version at your company or would like to restrict the usage of some of your tools, IDE Provisioner lets you select which tools and settings your developers will have access to on their machines when they use the Toolbox App.
Add your in-house plugins to the plugin repository, or store handpicked versions of public plugins. The plugins from this repository will be available only to authorized users within your organization.
