We succeeded in organizing JetBrains internships in some of our locations. Here is a list of the types of internships that we offered in 2021:
Developers, JetBrains Research, QA, Support, Design, Marketing, Market Research, Product Management, and HR.
The ability for interns to choose tasks that they are genuinely interested in is an important aspect of JetBrains internships. This is why we first collect project ideas from JetBrainers who are interested in mentoring, then post them on our website and receive applications from students. Competitive admissions consist of two stages: solving test problems and an interview with the mentor.

First of all I would highly recommend applying for the internship. This is a very cool experience! Don’t be afraid of the internship: it can be tricky at the beginning, but then you are drawn into it and you’ll get a charge from it.

Apply for the projects you are really interested in, follow your goal, and you will certainly succeed in it all.

You don't need to think twice about using small font sizes with Mono – it is designed specially to support them – but consider switching to Medium weight for more pronounced letter forms.

I use Kotlin for everything I teach. I think it makes app development much faster and much easier, given that it's 100% interoperable with Java and all the Java libraries that have been developed. I'm onboard 100%, my students really enjoy it, and I think Kotlin is a really great tool for education.
Marc Bowes
The Amazon QLDB team uses Kotlin extensively. We love it for its expressiveness, seamless interop with Java, and excellent coroutine support. Kudos to JetBrains on creating a fantastic language!
