Support Engineer

We are looking for a Customer Support Engineer to join the YouTrack Team at JetBrains. YouTrack is a project management and team collaboration solution available in the cloud and on-premise hosting. Thousands of teams worldwide rely on YouTrack to collaborate on projects of various sizes.

What we expect you to do:

  • Provide customer service and technical support via a helpdesk service, community forums, and issue tracker.
  • Be able to process requests ranging from simple how-to's to investigating complex technical issues.
  • Be a bridge between customers and geeky team members. We listen to our support engineers, and our support engineers listen to customers.

Requirements:

  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Empathy and desire to help.
  • Ability to work in a self-managed manner.
  • Basics of programming knowledge (JavaScript is a plus).
  • Basics of server administration—Networking, CLI.
  • Basics of web application concepts—REST, TLS, Docker, oAuth.
  • If you have a background in other technical areas and are willing to learn, that's perfectly fine. We'll happily teach you.
