Open an external profiling report
IntelliJ IDEA provides an ability to open .jfr and .hprof snapshots irrespective of whether they were taken in IntelliJ IDEA or outside of it. This lets you analyze reports that other people shared with you exactly like reports from local profiling sessions.
Open a profiling report
From the main menu, select and click Open Snapshot.
Alternatively, from the main menu, select or drag the necessary file from your system file manager to the editor.
In the dialog that opens, select the snapshot file and click Open.
