ReSharper | Edit | Generate Code | Partial Members
AltInsert | Partial Members (ReSharper_GeneratePartialMethods)
Partial members are defined in different parts of a partial type — one part contains the signature of the member while the other part contains its implementation. C# 13 adds support for partial properties in addition to partial methods, which were available previously.
The Generate partial members command will help you create implementation stubs for not implemented partial members.
tip
Depending on your settings, stubs for new members can be generated in different ways. For example, they can throw new NotImplementedException(), return default value, or include code that will not compile. You can configure these and other preferences on the Code Editing | Members Generation page of ReSharper options Alt+R, O.
Generate implementations of partial members in a partial type
In the editor, place the caret within a partial type at the line where you want to insert implementations of partial members.
Press AltInsert or choose ReSharper | Edit | Generate Code… from the main menu. Alternatively, you can press CtrlShift0A, start typing the command name in the popup, and then choose it there.
In the Generate popup, select Partial Members.
In the Generate dialog that appears, select partial members to create implementation stubs for.
Click Finish to complete the wizard.
You can also click Options to review or modify common code generation preferences on the Code Editing | Members Generation page of ReSharper options.
tip
To bind this code generation command to its own shortcut, go to Tools | Options | Environment | Keyboard and assign a shortcut for the ReSharper_GeneratePartialMethods command.
