Logging In And Out
TeamCity plugin commands are available only when you are logged in to a build server. If the connection is not established, the status bar displays the icon, and the TeamCity tool window displays an invitation to log in.
Log in to TeamCity server
On the main menu, choose
, or click the icon in the status bar (bottom edge of the IntelliJ IDEA window) to open the dialog.Enter the TeamCity server URL or select a URL from the history list.
Enter your TeamCity basic authentication credentials in the Username and Password fields.

Log out from TeamCity
On the main menu, choose
Enterprise Login Options
Your TeamCity administrator has the option of integrating TeamCity with a variety of enterprise-level identity providers, using TeamCity authentication modules. For example, if TeamCity is integrated with an LDAP domain or a Microsoft Windows domain, use the username/password credentials from the relevant backend to log in to TeamCity
TeamCity can also be configured to enable single sign-on (SSO), by integrating with third-party identity providers such as GitHub or GitLab (OAuth based social sign-on). If your TeamCity login is based on SSO, you have the following options to log in from IntelliJ IDEA:
Generate an access token from your TeamCity account profile, as described previously, and use this to log in from IntelliJ IDEA.
Ask your TeamCity administrator to create a password for your TeamCity account (every SSO login has a corresponding TeamCity account).
The TeamCity administrator can optionally enable 2FA on the TeamCity server. To complete the 2FA configuration, you need to manually configure it on your account. If you have not done so, you can continue to use username/password credentials to log in to your TeamCity account from IntelliJ IDEA.
