Issue Mentions
In addition to the links that can be added to issues, links are added automatically any time you reference a target issue. These "mentions" help you find and follow references posted in descriptions, comments, and work items.
Unlike links, mentions are added automatically whenever the following conditions are met:
A sequence of characters that matches an existing issue ID is automatically parsed and transformed into a link to the corresponding issue.
A sequence of characters that matches an existing article ID is automatically parsed and transformed into a link to the corresponding article in the knowledge base.
If you want to remove anything from the list of mentioned items, you have to remove the reference itself from the text.
The section of the page that displays links in a single issue has two sections that list mentioned items.
Items Mentioned Here
This section shows a list of issues, tickets, and articles that are mentioned in the current issue.
If this section is currently out of view, clicking the Items mentioned here tab scrolls to this section of the list.
Inward Mentions
This section shows a list of issues, tickets, and articles that contain references to the current issue. Different icons indicate whether these mentions were added in comments or work items.
If this section is currently out of view, clicking the Inward mentions tab scrolls to this section of the list.
