SSH Keys

To access dev environments via SSH, you need to provide CodeCanvas with your public SSH key. When creating a dev environment, CodeCanvas will automatically add your public key to the environment, allowing you to connect to it securely.

The SSH key you provide on this page is not used for accessing your Git repositories. If your repository requires SSH access, the remote IDE will ask you to configure SSH forwarding when performing a Git operation for the first time.

To add an SSH key

  1. Generate your SSH public key.

  2. Click your name in the top right corner and select Profile. Then in the sidebar menu, select SSH Keys.

  3. Click Add SSH key.

  4. Provide your generated key and click Add.
