New Edit VCS Roots

Administration -> Create build configuration -> VCS Settings -> Create and attach new VCS root Administration -> Configure VCS roots -> edit <build configuration> -> edit <VCS root> or Create and attach new VCS root

To find the desired VCS root name, type its name in the Filter field and then click Filter button.

VCS Root Name



Option

Description

VCS root name

Enter a unique name that distinguishes this VCS root from the others. If you don't enter one, it will be generated for you.

Type of Version Control System

Type of VCS

Select a Version Control System from the drop-down list. The links below contain VCS-specific descriptions of the options you can specify when setting up VCS roots. TeamCity supports the following version control systems:

tip

System time at the VCS server, TeamCity server and TeamCity agent (only if agent-side checkout is used) machines must be synchronized. This requirement applies, if you use the following version controls:

  • CVS

  • ClearCase

  • StarTeam, if the audit is disabled or the server is older than 9.0.

  • Subversion repositories connected through externals to the main repository defined in the VCS root.

Upon completion of the VCS-specific settings you will be redirected back to the 2.Version Control Settings page.
